oops

Apparently our guardrails aren't designed for ice.

And then, of course, I had to read this in the weather forecast for the weekend:
But the big story is potentially catastrophic winds in the Cascade foothills, where wind gusts could reach as high as 70-90 mph.

Neat! Snow, ice, AND catastrophic winds. I'd better hit a liquor store tomorrow.

I'm with you! I stocked up a couple days ago. Let's see, I got us peach cider (for a change from our usual pear) so Baileys which is a once a year treat... oh an some smirnoff which is my fav, the ice or the triple black...mmmmm.
Another storm to hit this weekend. And those photos are crazy! I would have had an involuntary bowel movement had I been on that bus.

Environment Canada (the government weather bureau) has coined a new phrase this week:
snow-maggedon.

The craziest thing about that bus accident was that it was full of college students who all called their parents screaming about how they almost died. Those poor parents!

Snow-maggedon! That sounds about right!! I am PRAYING that we don't lose power with the windstorm that's coming. If I'm trapped by snow, I'll be okay, provided I have heat! If we lose power, we'll have to walk down to the hospital. That's where we ended up the last time we lost power in December since it was the only place with electricity (and food...icky as it was).

Actual busses crashing through actual guard rails?

Seattle needs a superhero.

We DO need a super hero!

Actually, I'd just be happy if the Heat Miser showed up.

Crap, now I'm going to be singing that song all day.
